I want to Scuba Dive in Lake Michigan out of Chicago, but can’t find a charter place that rents equipment too.
Are there any places that leave from Chicago, and go out on Lake Michigan and will rent me a BC, Regulator, and Tank? I’m certified, but BC recently broke and despite what I’ve been told by the one dive outfit I ‘ve found here, why would anyone own their own tank?
Have you checked the Padi site? They have listings of all the PADI certified shops in the area, and could probably point you in the right direction.
BTW, although a number of folks do own their tanks, at least as many do not. I had tanks, but they had old-style valves, so I gave them away.
